WORK ON THE GO
NO MATTER
what happens in the rest of the world, both Australian and New Zealand
seem to continue on their own sweet way - just getting on with enjoying
the good things of life (even if somewhat muted).
And currently both of the economies are running pretty well full
steam ahead and that means there is a need for working holiday makers,
certainly in New Zealand and on the South Island where all types
of work is available.
The drought in much of Queensland has cut the need at present for
casual farm workers. But come the rains and everything will spring
back to normal. And there is work if you look for it in the capital
cities and major rural cities.
Currently hostels around the country are giving cut-price deals
on accommodation and there is less pressure to get on the popular
tours and dive trips. This means your money will go even further
and you'll probably be able to find work easier, with less competition.
Both Australia and New Zealand will welcome you - and both countries
are safe, in spite of fears of some terrorist activity - especially
in Australia. Truth is, you're probably in far more danger from
getting lost in the outback. Just go there - and have fun.
