Safe, clean and
friendlyIT'S ALWAYS a great time to
visit Australia and New Zealand and never more so than
now. Safe, clean and friendly. Those three words sum up
everyday life in Australia and New Zealand at just about
any time - but most certainly at this difficult time for
the world.
These countries have generally enjoyed a relaxed and
friendly lifestyle and that has not changed.
Apart from the tourist industry, neither Australia or New
Zealand have so far been greatly affected economically by
terrorist attacks - and there is no reason to suggest
this will change, especially with new, extra security
measures on aircraft and generally.
Genuine migrants and visitors are most certainly welcome
and are free to enjoy the great lifestyle and attractions
in both countries. Apart from problems with lack of
airline capacity in Australia at the current time,
everything is operating normally, with all attractions
open.
The down-turn in international and local travel means
that visitors can get great rates at top hotels and other
hotels and motels in all capital cities and on the Gold
and Sunshine coasts, in Queensland, while many tours are
easier to book.
And two things which most definitely have not changed are
the great weather (it's spring now and summer most
certainly will arrive come December)and all those natural
attractions, such as Ayers Rock, scuba diving on the
Great Barrier Reef, hiking or ski-in in the Blue
Mountains, in New South Wales and Victoria are all
waiting for you.
There are several ways you can fly to Australia and New
Zealand without going over the Middle East, or via the
United States.
With Air Canada and Canada 3000 you can visit Canada or
stop-over in the South Pacific with Canada 3000. Air New
Zealand has a service with a stop in Los Angeles with
stop-overs in several South Pacific islands or New
Zealand.
For a fast service fly over the Pole with JAL, and stop
in Japan, or go the longer way round with stop-over in
fascinating South America and straight across the
Pacific, or down through Africa with BA, SAA and Qantas,
